Department of Pre-University Education, Udupi and Gurukula PU College, Vakwady, Koteshwara Jointly organized a Taluk Level Inter-College Football Competition which was held On 26th Aug 2016 , at Gurukula PU College Ground.
In the Morning session The programme was inaugurated by Sri. Sridhar Shetty , Convener , District Sports by declaring Football Meet Open. Later the matches were played . Including the Football Team of Gurukula there were 10 teams participated and at the end Green Valley National PU College Shiroor got a Winning trophy and the Runner up trophy was received by R N Shetty PU College, Kundapur. Students from Winning & Runner up team were selected for State level Football Competition. Shramik Ballal, a Student of Gurukula PU College was also selected as one of the players for state level Match.
Valedictory function was organized in the same ground ,in which the list of winners announced by The PU College Principal Channabasappa B and the Trophies were distributed by Sri. Subhaschandra Shetty, Joint Managing Trustee , Bhandya Educational Trust and Shyju K R Nair, Principal, Gurukula Public School.
